The Mackinac Arts Council is inviting supporters near and far to take part in its upcoming “Take Me to Mackinac: Chicago” fundraiser, featuring both an in-person event and an online auction aimed at supporting arts programming.
The organization announced that its online auction will run from April 1 at 10 a.m. through April 11 at 1 p.m., giving participants the opportunity to bid on a variety of experiences, local favorites, and unique items. Organizers say the virtual format allows supporters who cannot attend the main event to still contribute to the cause.
The main fundraising event is scheduled for Saturday, April 11, 2026, from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. aboard the Odyssey Chicago River at 455 N. Cityfront Plaza Drive. The event will bring together supporters for an afternoon on the water, celebrating the arts while raising funds to sustain programs on Mackinac Island.
According to the Arts Council, proceeds from both the event and auction help ensure that arts programming remains free or low-cost and accessible to residents, visitors, and seasonal employees throughout the year.
With just weeks to go, organizers are encouraging early participation, noting that the auction preview is already available online and additional items will be added in the coming days.
Tickets for the Chicago event and access to the auction can be found through the Mackinac Arts Council website.
