A stretch of Huron Road along the East Bluff will experience occasional closures from May 4 through May 7 as crews complete a retaining wall replacement project.

The affected section runs from near Anne’s Table Trail, adjacent to the Lewis Cass Memorial, to Truscott Street on Mission Hill. While the work may impact through traffic at times, key destinations including Fort Mackinac, Arch Rock Road, and the Arch Rock Bicycle Trail will remain accessible.

Visitors looking to navigate around the closures are encouraged to take Arch Rock Road, reconnect with Huron Road near the Milliken Nature Center, and continue via Truscott Street.

Contractor Team Elmers expects the road to reopen each evening, limiting disruptions for residents and visitors later in the day.
