Mackinac Arts Council has announced the return of its signature fundraising event, Opening Act, set to take place Saturday, June 13, 2026, from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. at the Grand Hotel Tea Garden.

The annual event serves as a key fundraiser supporting the Arts Council’s programming, helping bring concerts, classes, and creative experiences to Mackinac Island residents and visitors alike.

This year’s announcement came with a colorful preview of the evening, featuring artwork by Kate Kopacka that captures the charm of the Tea Garden in bloom. While full event details have yet to be released, the early “save the date” signals another lively kickoff to the summer arts season.

Tickets for Opening Act will go on sale May 1.
