Mackinac Connect officially kicked off its 2026 season on Monday, May 11, with two community-centered events designed to bring Island workers together: Yoga with Mallory and a lively round of Bingo at Community Hall.

The evening began with Yoga with Mallory from 6-7 p.m., where workers rolled out mats, stretched, and slowed down after the start of another busy Mackinac season. Later that night, Community Hall transformed into a Bingo gathering. Free pizza greeted attendees early in the evening, while players competed for prizes and built connections with new and old friends.
These events support Mackinac Connect’s mission to connect Mackinac Island workers with community and resources so they can lead healthier, happier lives during the busy tourism season.
Mackinac Connect is also looking ahead to its next major community event, the annual Clothing Exchange, scheduled for Monday, May 18.
The free exchange encourages Island residents and workers to donate gently used clothing and helpful everyday items for fellow seasonal employees. Items including backpacks, bike gear, blankets, reusable water bottles, hoodies, shoes, scarves, toiletries, games, small lamps, and more are accepted.
The Clothing Exchange will run from noon to 8 p.m. at Community Hall, with donation drop-offs beginning at 10 a.m. Volunteers are also needed throughout the event.
