Harbour View Inn is offering guests a first glimpse at a major transformation underway this winter as the historic Mackinac Island property prepares for the 2026 season.

In a recent social media update, the Harbour View Inn shared a behind-the-scenes video of renovations taking place throughout the property, showcasing progress on what is described as a full property refresh.

The updates include reimagined guest rooms, redesigned public spaces, and improvements to the lobby and gardens. According to the hotel, the goal of the renovation is to create a refreshed guest experience while continuing to highlight the beauty and character that make Mackinac Island unique.

The video preview shows construction crews at work installing bright and playful patterned wallpaper, new bathroom tile, and updated shower and floor finishes. New lighting and bath fixtures are also being added as part of the upgrade, bringing a fresh mix of color, pattern, and texture to the interiors.

The renovations appear to lean into a lively design palette, with bold patterns and cheerful colors intended to create a welcoming and updated atmosphere for guests.
