Set in 2025, the story follows an investigator who reopens the decades-old case, uncovering long-buried secrets and a web of suspects that suggest the truth may have been hiding in plain sight all along. The book blends historical intrigue with modern investigative twists, offering a gripping, multi-part narrative centered on one of the Island’s most haunting mysteries.
Guests attending the event will have the opportunity to meet Rau, learn more about the inspiration behind the book, and purchase signed copies.
The signing adds to a growing lineup of early-season events on Mackinac Island, offering both visitors and locals a chance to connect with authors and stories rooted in the Island’s rich and complex history.
