Mission Point Resort is marking National Pizza Day with some very good news. Adirondacks Pizza, a new casual pizza spot, will open this spring inside the Mission Point Marketplace.

Created by Executive Chef John Clements, Adirondacks Pizza is all about handcrafted slices, bold flavors, and an easy grab-a-slice-and-go Island mindset. The concept is designed for everyone. Resort guests, Island locals, and anyone wandering by who suddenly realizes pizza with a view is exactly what they need.

True to Mission Point’s farm-to-ferry philosophy, Adirondacks Pizza will focus on thoughtfully sourced ingredients whenever possible, highlighting regional producers and seasonal flavors. It is the same care and quality Mission Point is known for, served in a relaxed, casual way.

The setting is hard to beat. Guests are encouraged to grab their pizza and head to Mission Point’s iconic Great Lawn, where sweeping views of the Straits of Mackinac turn a simple slice into a full Island moment.

The Ware family, owners of Mission Point Resort, already have their eyes on a few favorites. Liz Ware is especially excited about the Wild Mushroom Pizza and a gluten free crust that skips the cauliflower entirely. Mark Ware is counting down to the BBQ chicken pizza, while DJ Ware is sticking with a classic build-your-own approach and dreaming up what might become the Mission Point Supreme.

For Chef John Clements, the goal is simple. Pizza is meant to be fun, approachable, and shared. Adirondacks Pizza leans into that spirit, pairing great flavor with one of the most beautiful settings on the Island.

Ordering will be available online and by phone, making Adirondacks Pizza an easy grab-and-go option for Island visitors, locals, and resort guests alike. Menu details, hours, and opening dates will be shared closer to launch.

Adirondacks Pizza is expected to open in Spring 2026 at the Mission Point Marketplace.
