The Mackinac Island Lilac Festival has announced the winners of its 2026 Poster Competition, with Jennifer Treece earning top honors for her artwork, “A Basket Full of June.” The winning design will serve as the official poster for the Lilac Festival, celebrating the Island’s beloved lilac season through Treece’s vibrant and charming interpretation of Mackinac in bloom.
This year’s competition once again showcased the creativity and talent of artists inspired by Mackinac Island and its iconic lilacs.
Second place was awarded to “Little Miss Lilac” by Mandi Hinders, while Christy Wright Burich earned third place for “Breath of Mackinac.”
Honorable mentions were also given to:

“Little Moments, Sweet Lilacs” by Erynn Rice
The official 2026 Lilac Festival poster featuring Treece’s winning artwork is now available for purchase at several locations across Mackinac Island, including The Loon Feather and Balsam Shop, Island Bookstore, Flagship, and Little Luxuries.
The artists will be recognized during the Lilac Queen & Court Coronation on Friday, June 5, in Marquette Park, alongside the announcement of the recipient of the People’s Choice Award.
